ALA - Must Meet All The Librarians!

My ALA was a whirlwind of running around.  I was a Student to Staff Volunteer and I was assigned to LITA which meant that for two days I helped LITA do their thing.  I ran errands, talked to people, offered guidance, and manned tables.  It was fun but exhausting.  I attended several sessions on community engagement, tech stuff, and open access.  I was also able to see Alice Walker and get a book signed - AWESOME!  She is amazing.  I really need to read more of her stuff.  At any rate, I had a good time, met a lot of people, got my resume reviewed at the Job Center, and wandered the exhibit hall dipping into the wonderfully diverse world of librarianship and all the things we do and think about.  I am glad I went and I hope to return in the future!
