The First Week

All I can say is, thank you for having a 4 day week this last week!  That was one of the more intense weeks I have ever had and I know that they are going to get more hectic.  Top on the priority list is finding a way to keep all the papers and what not straight or my apartment is going to get really ugly really fast.  Still, the first day of class for most of my class was really interesting.  Two of my classes didn't meet the first week, one was on Monday and the other delayed meeting because the teacher wasn't ready.  The classes that did meet were really engaging and I learned a lot.  I discovered that I really liked the preservation administration class and that the programming class I have to take isn't scary at all.  In fact, I figured out how the program works and we are supposed to be figuring out for the first half of the semester.

There were quite a few meetings and meet and greets which was interesting and incredibly useful.  I've been struggling with what to do for the second internship for next Summer and a coffee I had with a current librarian here led to an email address of a librarian living in Cairo, whom I am now emailing with!

I have quite a bit of homework, but nothing I can't handle....yet.

Surprise of the week?  How much I really enjoyed preservation administration.  We have a group project in that class and we got the client that we wanted.  I think it's going to be a fascinating project and I am really looking forward to it.
