Traveling: Brugge

I left Uganda in the last minutes of Tuesday night and therefore arrived in Belgium around dawnish on Wednesday.  After going through customs and immigration, I headed towards the train station and after arriving at the Midi station, I found a large enough luggage storage locker and pulled out my pre-packed day bag and then headed towards my train to Brugge.  It takes about an hour by train to get to Brugge.  Several people recommended that I go to Brugge and I am glad that I did.  Brugge is a medieval town that never became more than a medieval town.  It's also quiet, even with tourists milling about.  My hotel was right in the center of town and was in an excellent location.  Brugge is a very walkable city and the food and people are friendly, helpful, and a lot of fun.

The above is a shot from when I was walking into town.

Here is Michaelangelo's sculpture.  One of the very few that are outside of Italy.
